Cost of Marching Band

Marching Band Participation Fee

Every Marcher is required to cover the yearly Marching Band participation fee*. This covers the costs for additional instructors, show music and marching scheme, uniform maintenance, color guard costumes and props, yearly awards, percussion maintenance, show shirts, and more.

All Marchers Participation Fee (PF): $680

New Marchers PF + cost for personal accessories (gloves, shoes, etc.)

Colorguard PF + warm-ups and personal items

Payment Due Dates

June 17th $250 Non-refundable deposit*

July 15th $215

Aug 8th $215

*DRUMLINE requires a non-refundable deposit at time of audition (usually prior to June 15th). If your student is auditioning for drumline, you will receive more information about the group requirements during auditions.

You will not receive individual bills for payments, so please note when they are due. Payment Vouchers are included in this packet, and email reminders will go out before each due date.

Why a non-refundable deposit? Our show is custom-crafted for the band based on the number of marchers and instruments. Any change in the group requires changes to the show, resulting in additional time and cost. The forfeited deposit covers these costs. If the deposit isn’t paid, you may lose your position.

Sibling Discount: A one-time per season sibling discount of $50 is available for concurrent marchers from the same household. Please indicate “sibling discount” on the payment voucher for subsequent marchers.

Payment Options: Cash, Check, Money Order, Zelle, Credit Card (through Square) 

Note: If you decide to pay via Credit Card there is a 3% surcharge that will be applied at checkout.

Don’t let the cost of marching band keep you from participating. If you need help with payments or want to make payment arrangements, contact the Music Patrons Treasurer or the Music Patrons MB Committee Chair to confidentially discuss options. Partial scholarships are available.

Please note any outstanding payments from a previous year must be paid in full before the beginning of the current season. Any unpaid bills will be referred to the school for collection.
