Who We Are and What We Do

This Parent Music Booster Club is open to any parent or FHS alumni member who wishes to
help support the Farmington High School Instrument and Vocal Music departments.
The Music Patrons began as a parent group to help and support the instrumental music
program and activities at Farmington High School and has expanded since to include
alumni members and friends from the Farmington community area.
Meetings are held at 7:30 pm the second Monday of the month in the instrumental music
room (see school calendar), and are an open forum to discuss the needs, help and support of
instrumental music activities. The Music Patrons have provided scholarships, uniforms,
instruments, extra instructors, food, transportation and other help to augment the basic
instrumental music classes and its budget. Community service in the form of “Parent
Power” has been one of the Farmington Music Patrons greatest gifts to the Farmington
community.
Parents are always needed for various committees such as: Tag Day helpers, bingo helpers,
newsletter, PR, uniforms, sewing, pit crew—equipment movement and set up (fall marching
band), concert recording, concert auditorium angels, chaperones for music performances
and trips, carpenters, welders, photographers, and VHS recorders
